This is a project Dresner Design is particularly proud of. After his Lincoln Park condo was damaged by a fire, this client, hired Scott Dresner to outfit his kitchen and bathrooms – on a limited budget. He and his girlfriend wanted a modern and functional kitchen that opened to the living room.
Scott made sure they didn’t have to sacrifice quality. He brought in Stosa Cucine cabinetry in Replay Rovere Grigio and White Gloss. The laminated engineered cabinets are both durable and modern. And the best part? They are made completely out of recycled materials.
In order to keep to the budget when it came to appliances, Scott and his team furnished the kitchen with used appliances. Even the stainless steel sink was purchased used, and the backsplash tile came from a discount store in Chicago.
“Because the client was a young couple, they were open to using recycled materials. Using recycled materials is the way of the future. No companies in America are recycling materials to create something new in the cabinet industry the way Stosa Cucine is.” – Scott Dresner
Despite the size constraints, Scott was determined to make the master bathroom feel bigger. So he combined the shower and tub together enclosed in glass- the result was an open, light, and bright space.
The bathroom also included cabinetry by Stosa. The shower area featured a freestanding tub, body sprays, showerhead and a handshower.
“Because of the budget constraints, this project was a challenge. But working with this fun, young couple made it a really fun challenge, and we were able to provide luxury within reach. By the time the project was completed, Brian and Allison were engaged, and together we had created a beautiful home for them to start a life together.” – Scott Dresner
